Wow Instagram also shows an ED warning when you type in “skinny” in search. It’s great to see companies taking action where they feel some responsibility for the wildfire spread of unhealthy ideals. I’m not saying “skinny” is bad, it’s just that a lot of young females searching the word may be searching for thinspiration. “Thinspo” is rampant all over social media with no censor for what’s healthy and what’s dangerous. I also tried to type in #thighgap and nothing showed up. I think they banned it! Is it true for you too? Props to Instagram (I hear Tumblr does it too) for stepping in.

We Think We Are Unique
Because we are emotional. But animals are emotional, too.
Via veganzombiegirl:

DO COWS GRIEVE?
"Grieving…we kind of attribute that to us, to humans. We think we are unique because we…are emotional. Cows are emotional, too. They grieve. I have watched them grieve for their calves. I have watched them grieve for members of their herd that have been lost. There is a very strong bond. They have their own community." – Harold Brown, former dairy and beef farmer turned vegan and animal rights activist
